Delivered by MSLSTS, the programme was specifically developed for Kids Club associates and team members responsible for children’s water-based recreational activities. The training was designed to strengthen participants’ knowledge, practical competencies, and emergency preparedness, ensuring that children participating in aquatic activities are supervised within a safe, professionally managed, and risk-aware environment.

Developed in accordance with internationally recognised principles of aquatic risk management and preventive water safety, the programme combined comprehensive theoretical instruction with practical assessment. Participants successfully completed training in child-centred aquatic risk assessment, hazard identification, safe supervision practices, emergency action planning, water rescue techniques appropriate to resort environments, casualty management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, emergency communication, and operational procedures supporting the safe delivery of children’s water-based activities.

Water safety is founded upon prevention, preparedness, professional competence, and a culture of continuous improvement. Commenting on the successful completion of the programme, the Maldives Swimming and Life Saving Skills Training School stated:
