Ibrahim Rasheed

Ibrahim Rasheed is a Maldives-based safety and security professional with more than 10 years of progressive experience across aviation security and luxury hospitality.

Currently serving as Assistant Security Manager at Soneva Fushi, Ibrahim supports resort-wide security, safety and emergency-response operations. He works with a 14-member Security and Island Rangers team and leads a resort-wide Fire Team comprising approximately 30 certified firefighters from different departments.

His professional approach combines security leadership, risk management, emergency preparedness, firefighting, lifeguarding and First Aid, alongside the discreet service standards required within luxury hospitality.

A major milestone in his career was being recognised as the 🏆 Winner of the Year 2025 — Heart of the House, reflecting his commitment to safety, service, teamwork and leadership.

Ibrahim began his professional journey with the Aviation Security Command – Maldives in 2013, where he developed a strong foundation in security procedures, vigilance, discipline and operational safety.

He later transitioned into luxury hospitality security, gaining experience at internationally recognised resorts including One&Only Reethi Rah, Bandos Maldives, Velaa Private Island and JOALI Being, before continuing his career at Soneva Fushi.

At Soneva Fushi, Ibrahim progressed into leadership. After approximately two years as Team Leader, his performance, commitment and leadership resulted in his promotion to Assistant Security Manager in January 2026.

His journey from frontline security to management has given him practical experience across security operations, emergency response, team leadership and hospitality safety.

MSLSTS Professional Development & Contribution

The Maldives Swimming and Life Saving Skills Training School (MSLSTS) has played a significant role in Ibrahim's professional development and remains one of the main pillars of his safety and lifesaving career.

Through MSLSTS, Ibrahim obtained his Lifeguard Certification and First Aid Certification, strengthening his practical capabilities in water safety, lifesaving, casualty response and emergency care.

For Ibrahim, MSLSTS represents much more than professional certification. The knowledge and practical skills gained through the school have influenced his approach to preparedness, prevention, lifesaving and emergency response, complementing his experience in security leadership and firefighting.

He also recognises the important contribution MSLSTS makes to the Maldives. Through its lifesaving and safety training programmes, the school has helped prepare many lifeguards who are now working on the ground across the country, contributing to safer resorts, swimming environments and communities.
