Maldives Swimming and Life Saving Skills Training School has successfully conducted a specialized Pool Emergency Response Training Program for Kids Club staff at Soneva Fushi, further strengthening the resort’s commitment to ensuring the highest standards of child safety in aquatic environments.
The program was designed to equip participants with essential emergency response skills, focusing on pool safety, child supervision, and rapid incident management within kids’ recreational areas. Special emphasis was placed on environments where children engage in structured and unstructured aquatic activities.
Participants underwent a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and practical, scenario-based training, simulating real-life emergencies in swimming pools. The training also incorporated key elements of event planning for children, aquatic activity management, and risk assessment, ensuring that staff are fully prepared to manage both routine operations and emergency situations.
A total of 11 participants successfully completed the program, demonstrating strong commitment, situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively under pressure.
Their successful completion significantly enhances the resort’s on-site emergency preparedness, particularly in Kids Club operations where vigilance and rapid response are critical.
This initiative reflects Soneva Fushi’s proactive approach in prioritizing guest safety and child protection. By investing in specialized, competency-based training, the resort continues to align with international best practices and elevate its safety culture.
Maldives Swimming and Life Saving Skills Training School stated: “Ensuring the safety of children in aquatic environments requires a specialized approach that combines vigilance, preparedness, and practical skills. This training reflects both the participants’ dedication and Soneva Fushi’s strong commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for young guests.”
The successful delivery of this program highlights the growing importance of structured training and simulation-based learning in Kids Club operations, especially in luxury resort settings where aquatic experiences form a key part of the guest journey.
