Ahmed Areesh Afeef is a multidisciplinary safety and security professional with extensive experience spanning security management, emergency response, fire and rescue, water safety, lifesaving instruction, risk management, investigations, transport operations, and hospitality leadership.

His professional career has been shaped by progressive leadership responsibilities within some of the Maldives’ leading international hospitality environments, including Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, and Patina Maldives Fari Islands, alongside his current responsibilities in security and transport management at Tree Top Hospital.

With a professional foundation that combines operational security, emergency preparedness, medical response, fire and rescue, and aquatic safety, Areesh brings a broad perspective to the management of risk and the protection of people. His approach is centered on preparedness, prevention, professional competence, disciplined response, and continuous improvement.

Areesh began his professional career with the Maldives Correctional Service, serving as Medical Shift In-Charge and Delta Platoon Section Commander. His responsibilities included medical-related operations, emergency medical matters, institutional administration, and coordination between the institution and hospital services. This early experience provided a strong foundation in discipline, emergency management, responsibility, and operational decision-making.

His career subsequently progressed into the international hospitality sector, where he developed extensive experience in resort security, safety operations, emergency response, training, beach patrol activities, and operational risk management.

At Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, he progressed from Safety and Security Officer to Safety and Security Supervisor. During this period, he managed daily resort security operations, supported emergency response activities, conducted resort-wide security training, and gained experience in beach patrol and operational training.

He then joined Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, where his responsibilities expanded into emergency task-force leadership, safety and security auditing, departmental administration, resort training, and Emergency Response Team command responsibilities.

At Patina Maldives Fari Islands, Areesh continued his progression through senior operational and management roles, serving as Senior Safety First Team Leader, Assistant Security Manager, and Security Manager. His responsibilities included resort security management, SOP development, emergency response planning, risk assessments, security audits, investigations, team leadership, and security awareness training.

His professional journey has subsequently expanded into security and transport management within the healthcare environment, where he is responsible for integrated security and transport operations, emergency preparedness, risk mitigation, incident management, and team development.
